6QAV17 Analog Input Q-Line Card

Technical Specification

The Westinghouse WDPF control system consists of individual processing units  which communicate over networks or “highways”. Two basic types of communications are available:
• WEStation which is based on a RISC workstation with added Westinghouse hardware supporting highway communication.
• Multibus-based communications based on Westinghouse boards including the functional processor and highway communication hardware.

The 7379A21G02 is a Westinghouse WDPF 6QAV17 Analog Input Q-Line card used in Westinghouse Distributed Processing Family DCS installations at power generation facilities. The 6QAV17 acquires analog voltage signals from field instrumentation — including pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, and flow meters — delivering those measurements to the WDPF functional processor for real-time process monitoring and closed-loop control execution. Q-Line cards are part of the WDPF modular I/O architecture, providing high-density analog input capability within WDPF processing units across boiler, turbine, and auxiliary system control applications. Powergenics stocks and repairs Westinghouse WDPF analog input cards including the 7379A21G02, supporting facilities maintaining legacy WDPF DCS installations.
